Espec has received the SBT 1.5°C certification from the SBT Initiative, an international organization that certifies Science Based Targets (SBT) based on greenhouse gas emission reduction targets scientifically consistent with the goals set forth in the Paris Agreement.
The Paris Agreement aims to limit global temperature increase to well below 2℃ above pre-industrial levels, and also to 1.5℃. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Special Report on 1.5°C stated in 2018 that to avoid the worst effects of climate breakdown, global temperature increase must be capped at 1.5°C. To achieve this, emissions must be halved before 2030 and reach net-zero before 2050.
At ESPEC, our commitment to global environmental conservation has been ingrained in our core values from the beginning. We have consistently strived to address various environmental challenges, such as reducing power consumption during product operation, implementing responsible chemical usage, and minimizing the environmental impact of product disposal. This proactive approach to product design and development serves as the foundation of our “Environmentally-Friendly Development Design Guidelines.”
We continuously assess the environmental issues associated with our product line of environmental test equipment and prioritize the development of eco-friendly solutions. Our guidelines evolve with the changing times to ensure they remain relevant and serve as a compass for creating products that meet the highest standards of safety, quality, affordability, environmental sustainability, and delivery schedules.
