In the world of environmental testing, anticipating, understanding and recording the behavior of samples within a test chamber is critical. Traditional challenges of obscured views through viewing windows and extreme temperatures have made real-time visual monitoring a daunting task—until now. ESPEC proudly presents the Chamber Cam—an unprecedented camera designed explicitly for monitoring the inside of environmental test chambers during critical testing phases.

The Problem: Seeing Beyond Closed Doors

One of the key challenges in environmental testing has been the inability to observe samples in real-time within the test chamber. Often, the true extent of a failure or the exact stage at which it occurred is only revealed after the test is complete. Even with a viewing window, complications like window reflections, condensation, and extreme temperatures further hinder the visibility of the samples.

The ESPEC Chamber Cam Solution: A Glimpse Inside the Chamber

The ESPEC Chamber Cam is an innovative solution to these challenges. Specifically designed for ESPEC temperature/humidity chambers, this USB camera operates seamlessly in temperatures ranging from -40 to 150°C.

The camera features a long sleeve which is designed to sit within the cable port. Adapters are available for users whose cable port sizes don’t align with that of the Chamber Cam.

On one end of the sleeve is the camera with LED lights and heated glass to combat fogging. The external part of the camera features a fan that ensures the electronics stay cool. A USB cable, facilitates easy connectivity to a laptop or device, allowing users to access a live feed of the chamber’s interior.

Unmatched Features: HD & 4K Monitoring

ESPEC offers two variants of the Chamber Cam: the Chamber Cam (HD) and the Chamber Cam (4K). The HD variant provides a comprehensive view of the entire sample in the chamber, monitoring it for overall changes. On the other hand, the 4K variant delivers high-definition images, capturing surface shape and color changes with unparalleled clarity.

Users have the flexibility to employ video/image capture software or specialized software provided by ESPEC. The stored videos, synchronized with the test profile, provide an invaluable resource for comprehensive analysis and insights into the behavior of samples under varying conditions.

Benefits:

  • Crystal Clear Visibility: The Chamber Cam ensures a clear view even in high humidity environments, eliminating fogging issues.
  • High-Temperature Performance: Capable of operating at temperatures up to 150°C, the Chamber Cam is a robust solution for extreme conditions.
  • Illuminating the Dark: LED lights embedded in the camera provide illumination in the darkest corners of the chamber.
  • Integration with Testing Profiles: Synchronous recording of images and temperature/humidity information allows for a comprehensive analysis of test data.
  • Compatibility: Designed to seamlessly integrate with Platinous J Series chambers and all Bench-Top Series chambers, the Chamber Cam is versatile and adaptable.

Technical Specifications:

  • Temperature Range: -40 to 150°C
  • Humidity Range: 0 to 98%rh
  • Interface: USB 2.0 (Cable connection – USB Type A)
  • Weight: Approx. 700g (4K) and 750g (HD)
